Just a quick report from Los Angeles... I'm down in LA - one of my favorite cities in the world!!! - to certify Equinox LA in my group exercise sensation Clubbell Fitness. While down here, I'm getting the chance to privately train some of my most treasured celebrity students.
Now, I have to admit I'm a huge fan of the late 90s television series, la femme Nikita. As a Cold War baby, who had the great honor of being the first Westerner to formally intern behind the "Iron Curtain" at the Russian Combat Skill Consultant Scientific & Practical Training Center, I was a big fan of the series, smitten by the entrancing Peta Wilson as any other man. And as an avid sci-fi follower from as early as Asimov, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is among on of my favorite films.
But of course, these roles were among a prolific and extensive career thus far. Many more have come, including two tremendously demanding characters which require Peta to again mold herself into the vision she has of her new roles. She asked me to train her for her new movies, and I'm honored to help her.
We had a lot of fun last night at her session in Santa Monica's exclusive Burn Fitness assisted by CST Coach candidate Tony Babarino and CST athlete and Burn head trainer Morgan Bennett. Here are some candid shots from Peta's preparation for her role: Day 1! Isn't she gorgeous!?! I just love her!
Russian combat health, of course...
Swinging her Clubbell like the warrior she is!
CAUGHT! She moves like a cat!
You know I love your energy and spirit, Peta! We all feel VERY excited for your new movie!!!
Hey Scott,
I used to watch la Femme Nikita and was really into the show. You trained Peta very well! She's a good actor and I hope you will let us know what the new movie is called and when it will be released so we can see the new moves and training that Peta/you have incorporated for this new character. Thanks for sharing this.
I have a question for you, I really enjoy my morning workouts, but must admit, now that I have a home gym and work out alone, I begin to lose motivation when I get bored with my music. I really find that I need a certain type of music to keep me going while I am on my bike or the elliptical. (Not so much when I am doing weights or Pilates.)It has to have a high pace beat; i.e. Breath- Blu Cantrell; Give it to Me - Madonna; Toxic -Britney Spears; would you mind sharing any other recommendations for pump me up music? Any suggestions would be truly appreciated.

Hi Maxine, thanks for the kind words. I'd love to share updates as Peta releases them publicly! You'll hear it first though, here. ;')
There are many, many different learning styles, and some of my clients have the rhythmic/musical learning style as their dominant setting. Maybe you're this way too. They like the "duff-duff" (as the Aussies call it) because it plugs their learning style into their kinesthetic performance. Anyway... here are some recommendations along the vein of examples you gave:
1. Closer by Ne-Yo
2. Hot N Cold by Katy Pery
3. Hung up by Madonna
4. I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry
5. Stronger by Kanye
6. Never Again by Kelly Clarkson
7. Piece of Me by Britney Spears
8. Shake it by Metro Station
9. 4 Minutes by Justin Timberlake and Madonna
10. My Moon My Man by Feist
Hi Scott, Thanks for the quick response. I will watch for updates on the movie releases.
The music: you are bang on with my taste Scott, as I have a couple of the ones you chose for me;:-) I really appreciate your effort on this... I will get on I tunes so that I can use it for my morning workout.
Stay safe and well,
Maxine
