Profile Information

How do you spend your day? (aka what's your job?)
I work as an Occupational Health & Safety Training Company Manager; (Manager of Sales, Training and Fulfillment). I spend my time working with a great group of Customer Service Reps, Office, Fulfillment staff and group of Health and Safety Instructors.

I work with many Greenlight members on different levels to help them achieve their goals. In particular, there are three Greenlight members I have been working on projects with which we are working toward a profitable business.
What's your hometown?
Preeceville, Saskatchewan, Canada
Favorite activities?
I get great enjoyment from exercising, sports, dancing, closet or shower singing, being with family & friends, playing with my dogs, hosting/ going to dinner parties.
Spirituality?
I find meditation very helpful to me. My beliefs are very broad & am starting to investigate the teachings of Buddhism.
What's your long-term goal? If you don't know yet, that's OK!
My long term goal is to develop and grow my passions and hobbies into a business with people that are of like minds.
Achieving our long-term goals involves a lot of baby steps. What goal are you working toward right now?
Working on building my complete contact lists, seeking out education to compliment my skill sets, business process improvement, building my spirituality, and getting my body completely back in shape again.
How would you like KF community members help you achieve this goal?
Encouragement, Advice, Referrals, Information
Are there ways not listed that you would like KF Community members to reach out and help you?
I need to become comfortable with delegating and asking for help, I can't do it alone. I take on too much. I love to multitask but I overdo my work time.
We ask that each member makes a pledge to the community: What help can you offer to your fellow members?
I have knowledge in Marketing and Advertising. I have an intuitive sense of the market place. I also have knowledge in websites design, Online Training, and Market Research.
If you had to put your personal philosophy on a bumper sticker, what would it be?
share a smile, spread some sunshine
If you have an official bio, post it here.

Katya shares her NYC story with us: So who's got your back?

Katya Nova is an Edmonton based photographer who joined the Greenlight online community in February, after attending a local Edmonton Greenlight meeting.

Katya ventured to NYC to do some scheduled photo shoots, but while there she made time to connect with the local NYCGC. I asked Katya to write a post after she excitedly shared her experiences with me when she came home about how she ended up attending Keith's lecture and after party for "Who's Got Your Back". Here is Katya's sto… Continue

ENDING MORE THAN A DECADE - HAPPILY BEGINING A NEW LIFE

One day, in March, my previous boss told me he was selling the business to a past vendor. I again thought how will I purchase this company that I have helped to grow and nurture for over eleven years; it was not meant to be. Still the same obstacles. After over a decade at this company, the same office, many of the same staff, our small close knit group, our family, it will be gone. I am contracted to transition the new company until June 30. My office, the job I came to love, my staff who look… Continue

Too Afraid to be Honest About Feelings?

I had an interesting conversation with a fellow Greenlighter last week. He commented on how honest and open I am in my comments, posts, blogs. It made me remember a time when that was not always the case.

Many people told me to "quit wearing my heart on my sleeve", i was "too soft", I was making myself "too easy to read", there was "no mystery". I was also told that my friendliness was thought of as flirtyness, so, I also tried desperately NOT to be myself. For years, I tried to stifle and chan… Continue

Canadians Giving Thanks

Fall has arrived here in Western Canada, bringing an amazing new canvass of color. Leaves once brilliant shades of green, have now turned shades of crimson and gold. The air has gone from surrounding you in gentle warmth to sharp crisp coolness.

In Canada this coming Monday, October 13th, we, approximately one month earlier than our American friends, will give thanks for all of our Blessings. Some will celebrate Thanksgiving with Church celebrations, turkey dinners with family and friends, Octo… Continue

Hi Maxine,
Keith was a keynote speaker at a CTX Mortgage sales rally a few years ago and we all received a copy of his first book - been a fan ever since.
Not only am I an Albertan but I was born in Edmonton. I lived throughout the province but in Calgary from the time I was 12.
Its interesting to me that there are so many Canadians involved with GC.
How did you learn about the group?

Dear Maxine,

I just wanted to follow up with you regarding greenlight member Percy Slater. I got him a working cell phone 213-909-1207.

Even though you are busy I think it would be a great idea for you to give him a quick call just to make sure he has your number.

Sincerely,

W.E.M.
