I joined this group bc being self-employed and driving to appts every day is very distracting. I have already read some points on the subject from members of the group. Looking froward to getting encouragement and advice from this wonderful group. I. too, will try to be encouraging and share my ideas when I can. Thanks for allowing me to join.

My apologies for not visiting "my" group. That's bad form, bad taste and just another example of my challenge to stay focused. Would love to hear how you remain focused when you're afraid as so many people are. A colleague of mine, Dr. Michael Gervais, CEO of http://pinnacle-performer.com trains athletes (he has at least one all star from every sport among his clients) says that when you're afraid or nervous your brain is over-activated (which can cross over into being agitated and try focusing when that happens, because you can't). He says the simplest way to calm yourself --which is the first step to focusing -- is to keep taking slow, deep breaths. When you're overactivated you stop breathing deeply. What do you do?
